This sweet couple came to us wanting to turn their house into the perfect party hosting pad. They felt limited and challenged with the existing layout and size of their kitchen, living room, and dining room. They desired a new kitchen and living space that encouraged social cooking, better storage solutions, and more countertop space for their culinary needs. The goal of the project was to create an open, bright, and inviting space where, while one person cooks, others can occupy and enjoy the same space to keep each other company.

 

Through collaborative efforts we were able to work with a design solution while keeping the existing footprint of the home to create a space that fit our clients’ design aesthetic and personal needs. We moved the dining area to the existing sunroom – opened the walls to the living room and sitting room and installed a kitchen island, giving the owners the large open working surface they were dreaming of.  We also created a coffee station while greatly improving the pantry storage. All-in-all we were able to develop a kitchen layout that encouraged socialization and fun gathering opportunities. As with all of our projects, we incorporated a variety of sustainable finishes and materials to create a healthy home.
